The Botswana Institute of Technology Research and Innovation (BITRI) Youth Associate ICT Programme (ICTAssociate@BITRI) is part of the government’s plan to empower youth through ICT. The programme is aimed at developing the 60 participants’ ICT, entrepreneurial, critical thinking and problem-solving skills through an internship. Others participants will join two-year research programmes where they will learn to start small ICT businesses.

“The mandate of BITRI is to identify and/or develop appropriate technology solutions in line with national priorities and needs of Botswana.” Through BITRI, participants will develop self-esteem, while contributing to the development of technologies that will improve life in Botswana.
