Samsung Electronics Africa recently developed a Digital Village in Ghana’s Volta Region, in an effort to deliver ICT-based material to remote areas including educational, health, and business development information and tools. They will also deliver training programmes to ensure that residents can fully take advantage of the equipment.

Samsung provided the following solar-powered equipment for the Digital Village: a 24-person internet school, a tele-medicine center, and an administrative center with a generator to be used as office space for local businesses, schools, or community centers.

This Digital Village will help young people in remote areas receive education and healthcare, while encouraging entrepreneurship.
