Harare Institute of Technology in Zimbabwe held Technovation Day, which showcased STEM companies and organizations. Attendees included industry professionals, academics, and students who were given opportunities to network and collaborate with other organizations.

Techzim takes issue with the fact that many universities are not the hotbeds of tech innovation that one might assume, particularly given that many entrepreneurs are not college educated. In this way, Harare Institute of Technology hopes to facilitate a vibrant community of African startups by young entrepreneurs.
