South African “Wired Women Conference” Works towards Tech Sector Diversity

The Wired Women Conference is a South African conference that aims to improve gender diversity in the tech sector. It is aimed at “women working in the tech industry and those who would like to learn how to harness its power in their field, to spend a day networking, listening to industry leaders and sharing their own stories about bridging the gender divide in tech. The emphasis is on men and women leaders learning from one another.

QualityLife organized this year’s conference. The following speakers will present at the event:

  • Alan Knott-Craig, Jr., CEO of Project Isizwe and Herotel;
  • Enyonam Kumahor, managing partner at the Cobalt Partners;
  • Erika van der Merwe, CEO of South African Venture Capital and Private Equity Association; and
  • Jayshree Naidoo, head of Standard Bank Incubator.

The conference is on October 23 at the Protea Parktonian Hotel in Braamfontein.
