Entrepreneurship Touted as Silver Bullet Solution in Kenya

Youth unemployment is a critical problem in Kenya. Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed, the governor of the Kwara State, Kenya, considers increasing entrepreneurship the best solution to the country’s current situation. He recently launched the Kwara’s Next Entrepreneur Scheme, which supports small and medium businesses through micro credit.

Governor Ahmed confirmed that this initiative will continue alongside other activities to bolster youth employment in the state. The government will continue to invest in projects, such as the Independent Power Project, and improve infrastructure. These projects will further develop jobs for young people.

Finally, the government has further plans to improve education by building new classrooms for both early and university-level educational institutions.

Governor Ahmed hopes that “peace and harmony” will continue in the state to ensure that these projects are realized to help improve the employment situation for the country’s young citizens.
