55,000 students in Bangladesh will be trained to develop careers in InformationTechnologies
Last Saturday, April 2nd more than 2,000 students from around 100 high schools took part in the National High School Programming Contest 2016 at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology. During the inaugural session, Shahriar Alam, State Minister for Foreign Affairs spoke about the Digital Bangladesh plan for 2021, which will enforce free training for 55,000 thousand students to develop information technology skills throughout the next two years.
The purpose of this initiative is to prepare thousands of youth students to enter the labor market with strong knowledge of technological tools and eventually being able to become entrepreneurs. The academic program will run in 64 districts, targeting students both with and without previous technology knowledge.
