Eagle Labs support entrepreneurs to grow their businesses with digital support and mentoring

UK banking group, Barclays, launched Eagle Labs to promote digital skills training with advanced technology equipment mostly for small and medium businesses. By utilizing some of its spare office space and providing access to 3D printers and laser cutters, the firm intends to create “MakerSpaces” where it will both support entrepreneurs and the community with access to basic digital literacy as well as digital skills training.

The pilot program that will take place in Bournemouth and Cambridge will mostly be targeted to support entrepreneurs to grow their businesses by supporting them with mentoring and access to advanced digital tools. According to Ed Vaizey, Digital Economy Minister, “The need for digital skills has never been greater, and Barclays Eagle Labs is a fantastic initiative that offers incredibly helpful guidance, support and advice to local communities and businesses.”
