Aiki and Microsoft teach Nigerian Youth “Code2earn”

Aiki Nigeria with the support of Microsoft Lagos offered a coding and entrepreneurship master class last August 18th an 19th as part of its vision to get one million fingers coding by 2017. So far, both partners have reached over 60,000 youth in both online and offline training sessions to promote innovation and increase the level of digital skills within the region.

The courses offered by Aiki Nigeria and its partners include mentorship related to entrepreneurship, basic ICT knowledge, soft skills and other resources that are useful for youth to enhance their companies’ productivity. In the case of its online opportunities, the portal provides learning opportunities in partnership with additional international platforms such as Allison, Udemy and Jobberman.

During the recent Code2Earn workshop, it was explained how technology knowledge can support participants to raise their income and apply for further employment opportunities mostly given the huge demand for IT programmers. This course has been imparted in different states in Nigeria, sharing a curriculum that delves into mobile app development for business, mobile store management, mobile marketing and introduction to Microsoft 365.
