South Wales Association offers IT training to support young job seekers
The South Wales Housing Association is offering “IT for Work” training sessions as part of the national “Lift Project” program designed to support young job seekers to find employment opportunities. With the collaboration of Afan Valley Communities First, this initiative is helping individuals from deprived areas in the country to earn digital skills for becoming more competitive in the labor market.
The training sessions take place over five weeks and provide participants both with valuable skills and hands on experience to add to their resumes. According to Nigel Lewis, Digital Inclusion Officer at Coastal, basic IT knowledge is essential for job seekers today both to be able to perform their tasks and even to apply online for different job positions.
