The Go Digi Pop-Up Festival is one of the initiatives meant to support the National Year of Digital Inclusion with the purpose of training 300,000 Australians in digital skills and online confidence. Last September 1-3 the festival was celebrated in Darwin, where the community was invited to share its digital knowledge in order to help those with less access to information technology resources.

With the collaboration of Go Digi Network Partners, different talks and activities were offered about topics that explored from internet skills to 3D printing and games. Taking into consideration that only 46% of senior people in Australia use internet and 75% feel confused about technology, the Go Digi Festival placed an emphasis on supporting senior members from the community to embrace IT resources.

A free screening of the documentary “Cyber Seniors” was included to increase awareness.
