IEEE organizes multistakeholder forum to promote global digital inclusion

The Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Internet Initiative announced the event Internet Inclusion: Advancing Solutions (IIAS) to take place next September 15 in Delhi, India. The forum will gather leaders from the public and private sector, as well as civil society organizations to promote universal internet access for everyone.

During the event, a series of interactive discussions and working sessions targeting lack of access to information technologies in the South Asia region will take place. Successful sustainable solutions and digital inclusion models – such as Digital India – will be discussed by the different stakeholders. The main topics to discuss include connectivity and infrastructure, digital skills of trained professionals, community, contents, finances, policy, regulation and accessible technologies.

An official report from the Internet Inclusion: Advancing Solutions event will be available shortly after the gathering. Additionally, on October 5-6 the initiative will follow up with another event in Washington D.C.
