Center to support students with disabilities in India through ICTs and career guidance

An ICT-enabled training center for persons with disabilities was launched in Bharathidasan University inn Trichy, India. As the first one of its type in the country, the program aims to provide this population with ICT skills to promote their economic independence and enhance their work opportunities. The training center will generate its courses and training programs on a need basis, responding to the needs of those who participate on it.

Its main objective will be to support persons with disabilities in rural areas through the collaboration of both government and non-government organizations to fulfill training needs. The center will also provide students with academic guidance and aptitude tests through ICT tools.
