Postas Digitales to train seniors in Argentina

The Argentinian Ministry of Social Development for the provinces launched a program called “Postas Digitales” to provide three-week training for seniors at the Center for Retirement “Luis Salvo” de Morón. Around 160 individuals participated in the program, obtaining certificates of completion and tablet devices to continue practicing their digital skills.

It is expected that the training plus the hand-held devices will become useful to support seniors to keep on learning as well as to keep in touch with their friends and family. Although this was the first time the program was implemented, it is expected that more of these courses will take place in the near future.

Some additional workshops provided by “Postas Digitales” taught use of computers, ATMs, mobile phones and other common devices.
