Amazon India and National Skill Development Corp train women in Nagaland to become entrepreneurs

Amazon India and the National Skill Development Corp (NSDC) in Nagaland state, India, partnered to create an e-commerce platform to provide women from the region with access to online distribution channels to sell their products along with digital skills workshops to teach women entrepreneurs how to conduct their online companies.

The initiative intends to promote digital skills both for women’s empowerment and to boost the digital economy through the commercialization of their handcrafts at a lower initial cost. This program is part of the “Global Selling Program” that was launched in India in 2016, and has gathered 18,000 sellers in different marketplaces.
