iChamp reality show to teach children from Pakistan internet literacy

Telenor Pakistan and Facebook launched the second edition of iChamp campaign to promote internet literacy among youth through a nationwide competition and a TV reality show. iChamp 2017 will consist of four different levels or phases: at schools, districts, provinces, and the national level.

During the first phase, ICT and safe internet use competitions will take place in 1,600 schools. Three students from each school will head to the second round at the district-level and the process will be repeated for each province until 12 students are shortlisted to compete in the iChamp reality show on national TV.

During 15 episodes, participants will face challenges related to using internet productively and one student will be selected as the winner. The competition will take place with the support of Facebook’s Free Basics platform for free training and educational resources.
