Huawei and Charities Aid Foundation to bridge digital divide in government schools in India
Huawei reached an agreement with Charities Aid Foundation, India to promote the digitalization of government schools in the state of Telengana. With the Daksha CST program, these organizations aim to improve digital literacy among school children from the region through the establishment of e-labs in government schools.
Addressing government schools, it is possible to provide equal opportunities to all of the students from the region. This program is part of the “Digital India” initiative to bridge the digital divide in India. Further support will be provided by these organizations to digitalize government schools in Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Bihar and Haryana states.
Currently the program is supporting 982 children in 10 digital laboratories.
