M-Enabling Summit: accessibility and innovation for persons with disabilities

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of United States of America will host the 2017 M-Enabling Summit next June 12-14 in Arlington, Virginia at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel. This conference and showcase will group organizations that promote accessible technologies for seniors and persons with disabilities though the creation of ICT products, services and consumer technologies.

Some of the main presentations will talk about promoting real-time text (RTT) to enable communication through diverse devices for persons with hearing and speech impairments. Another relevant session will address the Direct Video Calling Initiative, a description of available technologies and review the benefits it brings for person with disabilities. Other topics include web accessibility, social media, wearables, virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence and accessibility in different environments.
