911 SOS application to support Armenians with disabilities in emergency situations

The Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations launched a new “911 SOS” mobile application to address the needs of persons with disabilities. This program targets citizens with hearing, visual and speaking impairments.

In order to send a signal for support, the application requires the user to press an “SOS” button. The notification is sent to the ministry where further feedback is provided to receive further information on the incident. It also provides updates related to registered incidents in their localities and saves information about health concerns of the users.

The application will be available for iOS and Android devices.
