Telenor Velocity program drives youth entrepreneurship in Pakistan
Telenor Pakistan developed a new digital startup accelerator to promote youth ICT entrepreneurship in the country. The program provides assets and mentorship to participants in order to boost the growth of the digital economy and empower youth to build up their own innovative businesses.
The Telenor Velocity program has helped startups connect with more than 30 mentors and linked them with investors to raise funds for growing their companies and supporting the society. It provides access to an international platform called Digital Winners Asia (DWA), and backs up the young businesses to compete in regional contests for showing their capacity to drive change.
What is mostly relevant in this program is that it supports youth to use technology for making their ideas come true and then links them up with international resources and industry experts to boost the growth of their startups. It leverages technology to promote social development.
