Cox Digital Academy to bring digital literacy skills to families

Cox communications launched a website to provide families with access to online resources that range from educational games and social media safety guidelines to science projects and digital literacy training tools. The site is targeted both to children and their parents in order to provide families with digital resources that are adequate for their needs and interests.

The website provides tools and resources for improving the digital literacy skills of underserved populations. The software was developed by Common Sense Media, EVERFI and the Public Library association through Connect2Compete program.

The Cox Digital Academy combines different digital skills for learning how to use ICT devices, supporting educational development, finding employment, interacting safely online and managing digital finances. It is available for schools and individuals hiring low-priced internet connections and shows that accessible digital skills training can be offered by internet service providers as a competitive advantage.
