Brazil announced the list of telecenters that will participate in the National Program for the Training of Digital Inclusion Agents
The Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications (MCTIC) of Brazil, published the preliminary results of the call for the selection of 790 telecenters that will participate in the National Program for the Training of Digital Inclusion Agents (PNAID). Once telecenters present the necessary resources to participate in the program, registration will be open for young candidates to enroll in further digital skills training. The contents will be provided by the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology.
The training is expected to start taking place in 2018 and for a duration of 10 months. Selected youth will receive scholarships to participate, in parallel to their studies, as tutors to help other community users. In the end, the program is expected not only to provide digital inclusion training for the whole population, but also to improve the services provided by these centers and encourage the use of e-government services.
The preliminary list of chosen telecenters is available at PNAID’s website.
