Tigo launches Digital Classroom 25 in Bolivia
Tigo launched its 25th Digital Classroom in Bolivia to follow up on its ongoing digital inclusion program that started in 2014. The main purpose of this new space is to provide youth and persons with disabilities, with access to technology skills.
At the digital classroom, the organization provides visitors with access to tablets, computing devices and Xbox Kinnect consoles for children to play while they learn new skills. The space is located at the Centro de Audiologia Fe y Alegria, where more than 70 youth with disabilities study regularly.
According to Pamela Moreno, National Leader for Corporate Responsibility in Tigo, Bolivia, “the project seeks to extend the benefits of technology and connectivity among the most vulnerable sectors of the population.”
