MOMO program in Spain teaches children how to leverage technology to tell stories

Las Naves community in Valencia, Spain, launched MOMO educational program combining arts, technology and social analysis to attract children to study technical subjects. In order to do this, professors will be trained to use digital technologies to produce short films and utilize 3D printers to build mechanical elements. Participants will then share their new skills with their students by guiding them through the implementation of a project that will be presented by the end of the course.

The program is expected to benefit around 200 students that will be guided by the trained professors to write their stories, build their own scenarios, their cameras, and record environmental awareness short films. MOMO intends to boost the interest of children in technology by teaching them how to become creators and generate their own contents.
