Last January 2018 during the World Economic Forum (WEF), a platform called SkillSET was launched to promote the reskilling of 1 million workers by providing them with access to technology training. This initiative intends to address the global skills gap challenge.

In the words of Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, “We need responsive solutions and coordination from all parts of society – governments, citizens and private industry alike – to re-envision an educational system based on lifelong learning that can fully prepare workers for the jobs of the future.”

Users of the platform will have free access to updated self-paced training materials created by leading global IT companies. Topics will range from business skills and digital literacy to advanced technology capabilities such as cybersecurity or data science.

Visit The SkillSET platform and sign up to start your training during the initial iteration of the portal in April 2018.
