Digital Literacy Exchange Program to fund digital skills training in Canada
The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development in Canada announced the launch of the Digital Literacy Exchange Program to boost digital skills nationwide. This initiative consists in investing $29.5 CAN million to support initiatives that teach fundamental digital literacy skills to Canadians.
The Digital Literacy Exchange Program was launched to support the Innovation and Skills Plan to encourage participation of underrepresented groups in the digital economy. Government representatives called non-profits to submit proposals for grants by March 30, 2018.
