Trevor Noah Foundation launches pilot program to bring digital skills to children in South Africa
Comedian Trevor Noah launched Trevor Noah Foundation in partnership with Microsoft to improve the quality of education in schools in South Africa. The first institution that will be part of this program is New Nation School in Vrededorp, where youth from underserved regions grades 9-12 will be able to access digital tools and skills training during their studies.
The project intends to provide students with access to skills, tools and career guidance to improve their work opportunities in the future. Furthermore, to enable this process, training and equipment will be provided the school staff in order to make sure that the solution is sustainable in the long term.
