Portugal Social Innovation program allocates 5 million euros to fund digital and social inclusion projects

Portugal Social Innovation program was launched on May 9, 2018 to finance creative projects focused on improving public services and resolving social problems related to digital inclusion. The fund offers up to 5 million euros for digital and social inclusion projects based on their results.

The program is financed by multiple private entities and social investors, which aim to obtain measurable results through robust metrics that should be validated by the government. If the results are achieved, the social entrepreneurs will receive a reimbursement of their expenses.

The funds will continue to be available until the 5 million euros are allocated to relevant projects. More information is available in Portugal Inovação Social and Balcão2020.
