Puntos México Conectado offer new digital entrepreneurism curriculum
The Mexican Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT in Spanish), released a new digital marketing and online entrepreneurism curriculum to be offered at local technology hubs (best known as Puntos México Conectado) from Chihuaha state. The courses provide all citizens, regardless of their age, with access to digital entrepreneurism skills in areas that range from design and business development, to using technology for solving challenges faced by the community.
The new classes that will be offered as part of this new curriculum include programming, personal finances, English, robotics, entrepreneurism and values. The only requirement for participants is to register at their closest Punto México Conectado and obtain free associate credentials.
The curriculum is offered as part of a program that was launched by the Mexican government since 2011 to increase the number of public institutions with access to Internet and other ICT services. According to the official metrics from México Conectado’s official website, from 2011 to 2017, the program has reached 94,362 public institutions.
