Technolochicas 3.0 invited Latinas to learn how their ideas can revolutionize the tech industry

On October 5, 2018, Televisa Foundation and the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) launched Technolochicas 3.0 event to promote the participation of Latin girls and women in ICT fields. The event reflected a three-year long media campaign that focuses on portraying the stories of Latinas from diverse backgrounds in technology fields. It has shared insights into how Latinas can revolutionize technology with their unique ideas and perspectives.

The event was hosted at Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, Washington. It consisted of a presentation on “Innovation, Culture, and You: Addressing Subtle Biases in Technical Workplaces,” with the support of a research professional from NCWIT. The talk explored why diversity matters to innovation and the impact of implicit biases in tech environments.
