10×1000 Tech for Inclusion Programme seeks to boost digital skills in emerging markets

The International Financial Corporation (IFC) and Ant Financial Services Group launched 10×1000 Tech for Inclusion programme during the 2018 Annual Meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank. The initiative is intended to provide training for 10,000 technology professionals in emerging markets over a period of 10 years.

The 10×1000 Tech for Inclusion programme will encourage public and private sectors to collaborate in order to inspire tech leaders to drive change in the digital economy. By increasing access to technology skills workshops, the programme seeks to alleviate poverty and make financial services more broadly accessible in different countries. Indonesia will be the first to benefit from this initiative.

According to Eric Jing, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ant Financial, “Individuals with talent in technology are the drivers for change who can inspire innovation that will lead to a better collective future.”
