10 new grantees to receive support from the EQUALS Digital Skills Fund
Ten grantees from across the world have been selected to receive support from the EQUALS Digital Skills Fund. The selected grantees are working with women and girls in communities across Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America.
The 10 winning initiatives work in various areas, such as building and strengthening the digital capacity of women and girls by offering various trainings in soft skills, as well as basic, intermediate and advanced job-oriented digital skills, providing entrepreneurial support, and creating a safe space for networking and collaboration for women working in the digital sector. Training and support is provided through boot camps, coding clubs, mentoring, events and meetups.
The EQUALS Digital Skills Fund supports local initiatives providing gender-sensitive skills training, in order to enhance digital inclusion and skills, with the ultimate goal of narrowing the digital gender divide. The idea is to scale up their digital skills programs and trainings and to ensure a lasting impact beyond the lifecycle of the grant.
This fund is managed by the World Wide Web Foundation with support from German Development Cooperation.
