The Digital Inclusion Newslog is run by the Special Initiatives Division of the Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) of ITU. It is a platform to raise awareness and share strategies, policies and practices to promote the digital inclusion of people with specific needs (women and girls; youth and children; persons with disabilities and Indigenous Peoples). Any opinions expressed in the news stories do not reflect ITU’s official point of view.
In line with the Action Plan agreed by ITU members at the 2014 World Telecommunication Development Conference, Digital Inclusion means ensuring the accessibility of telecommunications/ICTs and the use of telecommunications/ICTs for the social and economic development of people with specific needs. If you have a relevant story/experience to share or are coordinating events related to Digital Inclusion of people with specific needs, do not hesitate to contact us.
