The Digital Inclusion Newslog is run by the Digital Inclusion Division of the Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) of ITU. It is a platform to raise awareness and share strategies, policies and best practices which promote digital inclusion, including for: girls and women, children and youth, persons with disabilities and older persons, and Indigenous peoples and those living in remote areas. Any opinions expressed in the news stories do not reflect ITU’s official point of view.

In line with the Action Plan agreed by ITU members at the 2014 World Telecommunication Development Conference, Digital Inclusion means ensuring the accessibility of telecommunications/ICTs and the use of telecommunications/ICTs for the social and economic development of people with specific needs. If you have a relevant story/experience to share or are coordinating events related to digital inclusion, do not hesitate to contact us at digital.inclusion@itu.int.
