Next round of Digital Inclusion Fellows to provide digital skills training in 22 US cities
Google Fiber and the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN) announced their second round of Digital Inclusion Fellows. This program consists in gathering and training a group of advocates to create and lead digital literacy efforts in different metro areas within USA. Among their main roles, Digital Inclusion Fellows promote adult digital literacy and help young job-seekers learn ICT skills for entering the labor market.
Next to the announcement of the new group of Digital Inclusion Fellows, NTEN announced the publication of its Digital Inclusion Toolkit, which groups a series of case studies presented by former fellows as well as diverse recommendations for promoting ICT adoption. Some of the topics it covers are community outreach and engagement, as well as classroom management and development. Some additional websites for digital literacy are incorporated in the document.
