Aula Fundación Konecta – UCM prepares youth with disabilities to adopt ICTs in Spain
Aula Fundación Konecta – UCM program will provide 18+ youth with disabilities access to ICT devices with the purpose of promoting equal participation in the digital society. The initiative, organized by Down Syndrome Madrid Foundation (Down Madrid) and Konecta Foundation is part of a broader event called Proyecto TIC that has supported youths in Spain for 16 years.
In 2016, 15 students will be part of the program and will learn digital skills through a methodology called “B-learning”, which consists of tailoring the student’s learning process through an online platform called Sin Brecha 2.0. The professor supports the student at his own pace thus promoting a personalized development that will support students earn the knowledge they require to get involved in the labor market. The classes take place physically at the Education Faculty of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
