UK startup launches campaign to train 1000 Women in Tech by 2020
Structur3dpeople IT recruitment company in UK launched an initiative called #GettingMoreWomenIntoTech to place 1000 women in tech job positions across the UK by 2020. In order to do so, the organization will provide mentorship programs in London, Liverpool and Bristol focusing on developing key technology skills for the workplace. The program follows previous initiatives launched last year by the company to support 70 women land in executive leadership roles.
According to Rav Bumbra, Structur3dpeople’s director, “Mentors and role models are pivotal in developing skills as well as providing confidence, building resilience, encouraging aspirations and advancing careers.” He expects that the program will help participants to progress into leadership positions and entrepreneurs.
