UNESCO and Pearson released Guidelines for Designing Inclusive Digital Solutions and Developing Digital Skills
UNESCO and Pearson launched a series of “Guidelines for Designing Inclusive Digital Solutions and Developing Digital Skills” to commemorate International Literacy Day. The document is intended to support private organizations, NGOs, international organizations and governments to understand what factors to consider when developing solutions to spread digital literacy skills. It is mainly focused on initiatives that target low-skilled and low-literate individuals.
The guidelines address topics such as better understanding design for low-literate users, creating engaging content and usable interfaces, or implementing metrics and mechanisms to evaluate digital literacy solutions. They are based on the documentation of a series of innovative case studies that have improved livelihoods and social participation in different countries throughout the world.
