Local government in the UK awarded funds for digital inclusion projects

The Digital Inclusion activities of the Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) promote ICT accessibility and use for the socioeconomic development of people with specific needs: indigenous peoples and people living in rural areas; persons with disabilities; women and girls; and youth and children.

Girls in ICT

Since 2011, over 357,000 girls and young women have taken part in more than 11,100 celebrations of International Girls in ICT Day in 171 countries. The event will next be celebrated on April 2019.
